I loved porridge

I love baby led weaning, she loves baby led weaning but (and it’s a small but) a big part of my day is cleaning up after eating. Letting her learn and make mistakes means there’s a lot to clear up, the chair, floor, her and me. I often think it’s helping me to let her make her own mistakes and to develop and she’s definitely not being spoon fed!

Though I love how your eating makes me smile,
Getting it just in your mouth takes a while.

This was after I told her she’s going to have to have a bath.

At the end of the day it’s all cleanable and she eats so well and can feed herself, so I’m a happy messy mum.

  1. Haha – I couldn’t bring myself to fully embrace baby led weaning! I could not cope with the mess! Fine with finger foods, but things like porridge I had to do myself with a spoon – I just couldn’t do it!

Thanks so much for joining us for #FridayFrolics

      • definitely! I lose count how many times the high chair and floor get cleaned and clothes changes! ahh the washing up! haha good job we love our babes so much xx

  2. Ah such a fun post! I have to say, although messy, Baby Lighty really took well to Baby Led Weaning. He eats really well now and I love the fact that I can have dinner at the same time and not have to sit and spoon feed him!! Thanks so much for linking this up with #DreamTeam!

    • Glad you can relax at dinner and it all falls in to place. I’ve seen my niece and nephew go through it and I know it’s worth it, even though the seemingly invited explosion every meal time is a lot to clean up.
