Poems for Children by Mama Grace
I’ll pump my family home as I desire.
It’s all consuming but this mum is on fire.
No, you heard right, this isn’t a mistake.
This mummy’s going on a baby break.
There was so much to remember but it worked a charm,
All I had to do was set a wake-eat-sleep alarm.
Help me out,
Where’s your shoe?
Let’s get out,
Where’s your shoe?
I’m glad you’ve asked and it wasn’t a pooh
But weeing and poohing on things is not what we do.
Our notes go through every emotion, yours will too
If you accept the differences, people jam with you.
Our time has now come to an end,
Know that you were the sweetest friend
Bye bye pooh, thanks for coming through,
It’s time to flush you down the loo,
Enjoy your journey toodaloo.
Are you a working mum? Is that all you are?
Of course not. So don’t make me reach to burn my bra.
Mummy what will it be, a pooh or a wee?
There’s a different feeling for each, so you’ll tell me.
